Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Lipstick...Hot or Hype?

So by now we've all heard that Nicki Minaj has partnered with MAC to design her own lipstick named PINK FRIDAY (how clever...lol). After waking up on Black Friday at 3am and attempting to order this lipstick online and being told I need to come back next Friday because it was already sold out, I started to wonder. Pink Friday Lipstick: Hot or Hype? Nicki Minaj has an undeniable buzz right now and the lipstick is Limited Edition to celebrate the release of her album Pink Friday but is it worth the hype?

Pink Friday is described as a “bright creamy pink lipstick,” and it has a satin finish (which means it has a creamy, semi-matte finish–no shimmer). It is a a creamy, medium pink with a noticeable blue undertone. Dupes have been listed as Saint Germain and Snob, which in my opinon have both be come up short for WOC...especially darker skin tones.

I will attempt to place an order for this lipstick again this coming Friday, and I will be sure to put up swatches and let you know if it's hot or hype.

Lazy Sunday...MAC Mini Haul Coming Soon

I just love a lazy Sunday! It's great to just play in some makeup and relax. After church I randomly ended up at the local mall here in St. Louis and where did I head ???? directly to the MAC Store or so I thought. The MAC store in the St. Louis Galleria was CLOSED!?! With no sign or anything...someone in the area please let me know what's up with that?!? But I can always rely on Macy's. I picked up a few things at their counter and a Mini Haul video will be up soon but here are some out takes from my day makeup and my impromptu trip to MACLAND!

The fall color pallet for MAC is BLACK, BLACK, and MORE BLACK!! Thanks to the lovely Glamazons Blog I got a sneak peak of the goth yet kinda fierce looks for the fall and I must say I absolutely love it! The last look is from the 2009 Diesel Show! Take a look:

MAC Define and Blend Nordstrom Exclusive Brush Set

I got it!!! If you've been keeping track with my posts, I said yesterday that I was planning to get the Nordstrom MAC Define and Blend 5 piece brush set. I wasn't planning on getting it for another week, but my lovely boyfriend surprised me on our trip to the mall and got it for me!!! YAY!!! I'm doing a video soon, but here are the pics!!! (Sorry I was on a call I couldn't put the blackberry down!)

Soooooo I've had a lot of free time at home and I have found some great products that I will be purchasing very very soon. The first is Nordstrom exclusive brush set! There are two possible options for this 5 piece set the first is Shape & Perfect and the second is Define & Blend and they each come with brushes that will do just that. This set is a $125 value but it only costs $49.50!!! So look forward to a review of this set coming soon!!!

The other product that I want to try is the new Maybelline Pulse Perfection by Define-a-Lash VIBRATING Mascara! This mascara vibrates 7,000 per stroke adding volume, length, and curl to the lashes, and it's only $12.99 at local drugstores!!!
